We are working on uploading recordings of the presentations.  The presentations that are available are listed below with links.  The rest will be posted as soon as possible.

This proposed legislation, if passed, would: 1. Create a Consumer Advocate Office; 2. Establish a new Governance Structure for Service Provider Boards; 3. Address Consumers� Long Waiting Times for Attendant Services; and 4. Provide for a Dispute Resolution Process. CWDO is supporting Scott�s effort to introduce the legislation.   • Webinar: Disability Rights Promotion International (DRPI). This webinar was co-presented by Dr. Paula Pinto, DRPI Canada, who is a post-doctoral scholar and Dr. Marcia Rioux from York University's Critical Disability Studies Master's and Doctoral programs.  Disability Rights Promotion International (DRPI) is a collaborative project working to establish a monitoring system to address disability discrimination all around the world.   • Webinar - What�s That?: An opportunity to think about imagery and perceptions of disability presented by Samantha Walsh, PhD student, Sociology and Equity Studies in Education, University of Toronto.  This lecture outlines how media images inform, shape and re-affirm perceptions of disability and shows the links between these images and how they inform disability�s place within economical, social, and governmental infrastructures (within Canada and Ontario).   • Webinar - Multi-method Communication: Incorporating Persons with Intellectual Disabilities in the Decision Making Process presented by Christopher Longtin, MA, Sociology, Carleton University.  To best include individuals with intellectual dis/abilities in decision-making, we must rethink how the decision making process occurs and the communication methods it engages. The presenter reviews this process and, through the example of visual communication methods, suggests a number of ways decision-making might be diversified and more inclusionary.   • Webinar - Puzzling Alliances: Advocacy Work and the Politics of Representing Autism, presented by Anne Mcguire, PhD Candidate, Sociology and Equity Studies in Education, University of Toronto.
